this week's been pretty successful in the shopping front:

1. a casio watch, the exact same on i used to have in year 6 - thanks pigeonhole

2. a pair of sunnies from dangerfield

3. IXUS220 HS. No idea how that's significant - it's a Canon camera to take my happy shots this year.

i cannot wait for uni to start and am very much looking forward to fly in day on Monday :)

it's been great catching up with all the american tv shows that I so loyally follow.

so very very keen on booking all the fun european times I'm gonna have the end of this year.

or not european.. no idea. where. i should go. definitely not south america, that's for 2014.

Damn, I haven't posted in ages. There was no post in December?!?!?!

That's the first time in this blog's history!

This from the past couple of months:

1. Vac work has been brilliant! Meeting new people everyday, working with real nice people, hanging out with real cool people. And people who I email with regularly; Rebecca Rebekah Adam and good ol Andrew, seriously his emails crack me up all the time. Far out, that smart ass - shame he's not gonna be there next swing. Good ol enviro peeps. That tiny stimson's python with good ol Matt and um Monday with Jacqui, another Matt and Mike. Off the vac work checklist :)

2. Melissa turned 21! Hope you had a brilliant time! <3

3. Raymond turned 22! Final year of friendship! <3

4. Christmas trip back to Jakarta. Saw mum & dad :) Ate like a total pig - even more than my pig brother. Saw baby Gyan - that cutie pie. Did not see Leo my favourite dog in the whole world - oh Grandpa Leo!

5. Good times with some of my favourite people - Sin Erik Wan Jos Ben Dane Louigi Jordo and good ol Jon - SO GOOD to have you back! <3

hi everybody!

i've finished exams, WOOHOO

i will now tell you how my day was yesterday, and today.

yesterday i finished exams - WOOHOO

the questions were identical to last year's so it shouldnt be too bad at all

then i went to broadway for lunch with the sese gang,

then off to lawn bowls for FMG vac work student networking

caught up with sin gary and adam, met some really cool people :D

then off to dinner with ze murdochs - marissa zack nadia and ridz

le uber fun :D

went to the pancake place, then met up with andrea and went to the aviary :D

and thennn OFF TO KTV :D

with mario too

oh man i just absolutely love karaoke, especially with them :D

it was at myaree and we finished when utopia closed so, i didnt have the chance to catch up with terri and jacqui D:

but all in all UBER FUN :D

today, went to career mentor link end of year event!

caught up with melissa, and ben whos leaving for the US on tuesday D: lucky man :)

then off to shiy's!! poor lin was in the pool alone so i jumped in straight away :D:D

ok im now SUPER hooked on pan am, on ep 5 now, ive got 6 and 7 to go :D

greetings,

so, just casually picked up mama today at the airport, where i found out that she had made friends with an old indonesian couple visiting all the way from sacramento, CA (USA) for medical purposes. theyre staying for 2 nights.

at the airport mum and i found out that theyre staying in swan valley. as theyve never been here, mama offered them for a lift. so we drove to swan valley to drop them off at the novotel resort.

then we also found out that their treatment is in nedlands so mama offered to pick them up and take them around, and to their eye treatment place tomorrow. and of course, i have to drive.

WOOHOO SCREW DESIGN EXAM.

also, i just finished watching a documentary called 'targeting bin laden' on abc.

so bad ath. pretty cool to learn about the considerations and strategy that went into the murder of 'geronimo' as they called him.

also,

i learned that, as i washed my hands in the disabled toilet today before leaving uni for the airport, my dress is pretty much see through.

I went home and slept instead of stayed and studied tonight, now I'm feeling the guilt. And when I drove home, I knew this was not a good idea ergo I should really stay back.

But no, even as I was driving home, my eyes were slowly closing every 5 minutes. Dangerous, I know.

Today's date is 1/11/11. All you superstitious kids out there, make a wishy washy wish.

I really need to start my CFT report soon. Or it'll get ugly.

I have really been swearing a lot, even when I'm with friends I don't usually swear with. And, the worrying thing is, I didn't even feel guilty. Oh sweet lawd.

Thesis topics better come out soon, the decision is going to be a big one, I need time to research and think.

im leaning towards the sick side of the road and i would like to talk about my experience on getting sick in New Zealand.

Auckland, 8th of January 2011

a week of travelling later, surviving on a budget, i arrived in auckland. a sore throat brewing, and a cold coming along. my poor dutch and german roommates had to try to sleep with this girl coughing like a dying lady. i took some panadol.

Auckland Airport, 9th of January 2011

the day of the meet up with fellow ISV participants. left the hostel with a really really bad cough and non stop sneezing, with a mild fever. got to the airport. went to the pharmacy to buy some cough syrup and soothers. the girl offered some nice, honey flavoured cough syrups. i opted for the cheaper irish moss cough syrup. the girl offered some really nice, honey flavoured (manuka honey) soothers. i opted for the cheaper really bitter soothers.

and consequently, i suffered for a week. they both tasted appalling. they were really bad. and they did not work.

darrel took us walking around talking about maori people's medicinal plant, and i ate a leaf that was supposed to heal bad stomach coz at that point i had a stomach flu too. it was ugly.

and after i ate that leaf, it got uglier.

my team supervisor, fiona, told me to make some honey and ginger and lemon tea

and tom gave me a water purifier to take with a glass of water. which was the most bitter glass of water ive ever drunk in one go.

but after those two, i got A LOT better. just in time for our weekend away to whitianga.

5 steps to speaking enthusiastically:

1. smile with your eyes

you must know how to do this. if not, think about happy things like..

dont memorise a script. when you memorise a script, in which you tend to put smart words that nobody ever says, it gets pretty obvious that youre scripted. and thats a turn off and you tend to come off less enthusiastic.

5. still, know what youre talking about

the tips is to memorise key words, not whole sentences. then let it all flow. practice doing that at home.

well those are what i think anyway.

they drive you everywhere! work, uni/school, grocery shopping, shopping, other needs.

3. self-esteem boost.

girls are pretty damn sensitive. knowing someone wants you is such a self-esteem boost.

4. someone to ramble on to.

when youre international and you have noone to ramble on about the most random, girly things to? your boyfriend is there! its his obligation to listen to you ramble on about shizz.

5. that dress/blingage/book that you want.

see a cute dress? see a pretty ring? see an interesting book? take your boyfriend to that shop and say "oh look at that dress thats so cute!" go try it on, and say "awh im so broke, awh i guess i wont buy it". then he'll go "oh its ok honey i got it ;)" and youre good!

Since then Hideaki enters the water everyday on a one man search and rescue mission, saving countless lives and proving that two natural disasters in a single day, and insurmountable odds can’t stand in the way of love. This man is my hero.

phuuooww its been so long.

my exams were so-so.

results only come out on the 18th of july so thats a long way off.

works been good.

been saving money for my next adventure, solo or not solo.

but my next one is gonna be BIG and LONG and EXTENSIVE and AMAZING.

i need to buy boots coz mums thrown all my boots away coz lets face it.

yes. 55. i mean. last time i weigh this much was last year towards end of the second semester.

few months before nz. and i had nz to lose weight on. but now ive nothing.

but the thing is i dont feel fat. well sometimes, only sometimes. but generally i dont. like i feel plump but i mean, its not like im fat. i mean with the thighs, im used to my fat thighs anyway so i dont see a big deal about it.
